Preziosa Dachshunds® is local authority Licensed with the maximum grading of five star, higher standards award, as well as an inspected passed, member of the Kennel Club Assured Breeders programme.
We are committed to raising well socialised, happy and confident puppies from quality breed standard, health tested dogs who live inside our busy family home on the Isle of Wight.

At Preziosa want to be the very best we can be. We strive to breed Dachshunds, who are given the most luxurious of lifestyles, with access to creative and robust enrichment plans, whilst being loved as they deserve to be. We raise our puppies, using several methods proven to give them the best start in life, such as ENS, Puppy Culture and Scent introduction. We are a large multi generational, busy family, with a wealth of professional knowledge and qualifications behind us. Our Puppies leave us, well socialised, confident, calm and used to all aspects of daily life including, children and other dogs.
Louise is trained with an array of OFQUAL accredited qualifications at level 3 (A Level) or above and this includes an OFQUAL diploma in canine nutrition qualification. As raw feeding enthusiasts and enrichment led living advocates, this expertise gives all of our puppies the best possible start in life; and our puppy parents 24/7 support to a professional who can catch them through any blips that come along with pet ownership. .

Our customer service was recognised by international judges in 2023 when we were shortlisted to the final four, against Multi-Million pound businesses, in the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce BEST in CUSTOMER SERVICE awards. We have now been shortlisted for a second year in a row - the awards night is in May 2024 and we hope to take the award home this year!

December 2023 saw the beginning of our Showing campaign success, with our fantastic Show Team handlers, flying that Preziosa Flag high, and qualifying two of our show team for CRUFTS MARCH 2024, on only their second outing! Todd placed third in his group - meaning he is now qualified for Crufts 2025! We have such high hopes for our dogs within the showing community and have loved every nail biting moment of the experience so far. Wanting to put a very broad and sound knowledge of canine nutrition, to best use, we proudly developed and launched an Artisan Dog Bakery, which was recognised as 2023 WINNERS of BEST DOG PRODUCT and BEST CANINE NUTRITION in the national professional Dog Businesses UK awards. Whilst we have now sold this business Louise proudly is working closely with the new owners as a Nutrition consultant to ensure it carries on as it started!

Louise is a qualified to teach in the Post 16 sector and is in the process of establishing a whole host of both Canine and Person focused CPD courses to add, to the accredited courses in Mental Health that she currently delivers.
With Louise and Eldest Daughter Chloe, Diploma Level Trained in Animal Assisted Therapy, Our Preziosa Therapia service co-founded with Chloe, will go live in 2024/25. Louise is currently on the pathway to become a BACP registered counsellor, and Chloe a Registered Socail Worker. This service once fully operational will be of huge benefit to the local community, allowing our skills to be applied alongside our AAT dog in training, Fern.
